Debbie's Doing It All Over Again...
4.50 out of 5.00   -   Film: 4   Features: 5   Video: 5   Audio: 4   -   10/17/2003
In the highly anticipated update of Debbie Does Dallas, "Dallas" doesn't refer to the city, but to a character played by Chris Cannon. He's the star of the local Valley Football team, and cheerleader Sunrise Adams (playing Debbie) is anxious to get into his pants, but is a little apprehensive that his "game playing" may extend beyond the football field.

I have to give director Paul Thomas credit for this one. Instead of trying to make Debbie Does Dallas: The Revenge more glamorous and glitzy than its predecessors (this isn't the first time Vivid has tried to jump start the Debbie franchise - past attempts have been made with both Lexus and Sky), he keeps it simple - setting the story in a small town and keeping the football team a small college one instead of a professional one.

Shot on film, the movie looks great on DVD and doesn't have any obvious dirt or grain on the print that has become so distracting with earlier adult films transferred to the digital format. The opening scene is a winner - as Nicole Sheridan seduces Voodoo outside with a few large trees acting as cover. There's no penetration here, but Nicole gives a nice blowjob that concludes with a facial.

As the storyline starts to take shape, we discover that Sunrise is the head of the cheerleader squad, and when we are first introduced to her character, she's getting a pep talk from coach Rod Fontana on how important it is to keep the team "happy" during the upcoming season. Unfortunately for Sunrise, one of the other cheerleaders (played by Lezley Zen) wants to be captain of the squad as well...and she starts to plot against Sunrise in an attempt to take over.

In between Lezley's plotting, we get some hot sex scenes, including a nice bathroom scene between blonde Olivia Saint and male performer Lance Banger. There's also a great flashback sequence that involves a threesome between Sunrise, Olivia Del Rio and Evan Stone in an empty restaurant. And there's a fun scene where Jesse V. is blindfolded, plays "spin the bottle" and winds up making out with Eric Masterson and Rebecca Love.

At this point in the film, Lezley is going to extremes to try and get Sunrise kicked off the team. She first tries to claim that Sunrise put bleach in Nicole Sheridan's lube (don't try this at home, boys and girls!) and then talks Rebecca Love into drinking rat poison so she can blame Sunrise on that too!

Lezley finally convinces the coach that Sunrise is up to no good, and Fontana kicks Sunrise off the team. This results in Lezley and Sunrise getting into a wrestling match in the grass and mud that starts to turn into a passionate lesbian scene, but ends after only some kissing and heavy petting - leaving the viewer wanting more.

Thinking she is victorious, Lezley then goes off to seduce Fontana, who gets his wife (Jordan Haze) to join the two of them for a hot threesome that turns into one of the movie's best sex scenes. Afterwards, Rod breaks the news to Lezley that since he never sleeps with anyone on the cheerleading squad, she can no longer be part of the team!

Back on the squad and with her named finally cleared, the film concludes with Sunrise teaming up with Chris Cannon. The first part of their coupling takes place on a moving merry-go-round, and I was kind of hoping they'd have sex there...but the actual sex takes place indoors, as Sunrise takes Chris reverse cowgirl, missionary and doggy before a movie-ending facial pop-shot.

Assuming you're a big fan of Sunrise, the bonus features on this Vivid release are quite entertaining, since three of the five bonus scenes on the disc are scenes with Sunrise performing in them. There's also a short behind the scenes featurette, a couple of slide shows, multiple angles and trailers for other Vivid releases. But perhaps the coolest and most unexpected feature is a trailer for the new Val Kilmer film, Wonderland, in which he portrays the legendary John Holmes. It's a cool cross-promotion, and I was both surprised and pleased to see a mainstream trailer on an adult title.

By keeping things simple, yet entertaining, Paul Thomas has helmed another enjoyable feature for Vivid that fans of Sunrise should really enjoy watching.
