What is the difference between silicone based and water based lubricants?

Silicone based lubricants are extremely long lasting and waterproof, which makes them ideal for use in the pool, Jacuzzi or shower. This lubricant is especially silky smooth but can stain delicate sheets or clothing so you need to be extra careful. Only System JO Water-based lubricants are very similar in feel to silicone but washes off very easily with just water. No Sticky or tacky feel. And no Residue feel as well.
